On Oct. 21, dozens of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteers from Los Altos Hills participated in an exercise to simulate their response in an actual emergency. After the Emergency Operations Center or "ark" was set up, team members tested their field capacity, phone and radio equipment and medical skills.
